Two-year-old wounded in Strawberry Mansion double shooting

A two-year-old was injured last night in a double shooting that also left a man in critical condition.

Police said the man, 19, was walking with the girl, 2, on the 2500 block of North 29th Street in Strawberry Mansion when gunfire erupted.

Officers responding to a report of a shooting shortly after 10 p.m. found the man with a gunshot wound to the back of his head. He is in extremely critical condition at Temple University Hospital.

The child suffered a graze wound to her arm. She is in stable condition at St. Christopher’s Hospital. Police said she is not the man’s daughter. Their relationship is unclear.

There is not yet word on a motive or suspect, investigators said.
