Union fall in home opener

The Union opened the home half of its schedule Sunday wit a 2-1 loss to Colorado.

Colorado got a pair of goals after two Union defenders — Carlos Valdes and Chris Albright — slipped early in the second half. The Union got a goal from Lionard Pajoy in the 71st minute.

The defeat was the first for the Union in a home opener and dropped its overall record to 0-2-0. The Union heads to Chicago Saturday to take on the Fire.
