Union waive keeper

The Union parted ways with goalkeeper Brad Knighton yesterday.

The 25-year-old started in eight games for the club last season and logged 652 minutes. He came over from New England in a draft day trade.

The move isn’t a surprise after the Union acquired veteran keeper Faryd Mondragon last week. Mondragon played for Colombian national teams in 1998 World Cup and ’92 Olympics.
