Eagles fire longtime LB coach

The Eagles are clearly pinning the blame for a porous defense on their coaching staff. Linebackers coach Bill Shuey became the latest victim, fired after 10 years with the team.

Shuey is the fourth coach not returning next season. The Eagles fired defensive coordinator Sean McDermott and defensive line coach Rory Segrest. Secondary coach Dick Jauron left for Cleveland.

The Eagles are still without a defensive coordinator, but may be targeting Green Bay defensive line coach Mike Trgovac. He was a former defensive coordinator in Carolina, where he ran a 4-3 defense.
