My Local Brew Works

For the beer enthusiast in your life, this local brewery is offering its popular Custom Craft Brewing Package again, which gives an in-depth look into the craft brewing process from start to finish. Philadelphians will be able to get involved with everything, from choosing the grain to designing the label (participants can be as hands-on or off as desired). 

Entry starts at $120 per person (price depends on certain factors), and the experience includes a tour of the vicinity, lunch, a parting gift and more over a 6 hour period—if you opt-in for the full experience. There are a few different options to gift someone in your life with a trip down to the beach-side town of Atlantic City. What better way to spend Valentine’s Day in Philadelphia than by seeing it from a luxury yacht? City Cruises is offering three romantic sails on Feb. 10, 14 and 17. 

Options include: The Silver Package, which comes with a glass of champagne or sparkling wine and a rose. The Gold Package, which boasts a champagne toast, bottle of champagne per couple, keepsake champagne flute and a half dozen roses. Poi Dog and the minds behind Giuseppe’s Market at Samuels Seafood have partnered up for a special Valentine’s Day offering. The Cupid’s Arrow Oyster Bundle features a 5 oz. bottle of Poi Dog Chili Peppah Water, one dozen Cupid’s Arrow Oysters (from Massachusetts) and a premium Dexter High-Carbon Steel Oyster Knife. 

As the release notes, The Cupid’s Arrow Oyster Bundles are available exclusively for pickup at Giuseppe’s Market at Samuels Seafood from Feb. 1 to 17. Giuseppe’s Market at Samuels Seafood hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sofia Deleon, the brains behind El Merkury has launched a new spirit: Tenango Rum features rich notes of cocoa, banana, coffee, almond, and tropical fruits (most of which are rumored aphrodisiacs ), that “seamlessly dance” with the whiskey notes imparted by the second-use barrel, adding flavors of butterscotch and caramel, a release states. 

On top of the flavors, $2 from every bottle sold goes to the Guatemalan Kik’che’ Women’s co-op’s trade workers, so you can feel extra good about purchasing a bottle of these spirits.

Cake Life Bake Shop

If you’re looking for some sweet gift options, Cake Life Bake Shop is offering an assortment of treats for Valentine’s Day in Philadelphia.  For Valentine’s Day in Philadelphia, Oyster House is offering a romantic seafood treat at home with their “Shellebration” platter,  available for pickup only from venue located at 1516 Sansom Street.

The platter, which can be picked up between 3 and 5 p.m. on either Wednesday, Feb. 14, or Saturday, Feb. 17, features eight raw oysters with a pomegranate mignonette, four head-on prawns, crab dip with saltines, and two chilled splits of sparkling wine for $74, a release notes.
