Looking for some fun and unique things to do for Valentine’s Day weekend in Philadelphia? We’ve got you covered. 

Heartstrings A Valentine’s Circus Show

For something a little different, the Circadium School of Contemporary Circus will be presenting a special performance for Valentine’s Day weekend in Philadelphia with national and international circus artists showing off their skills. Patrons can watch acrobatics, aerials, juggling and equilibristics skills combined with dance, theatre, storytelling and spoken word for this one-night-only production. 

The show will take place on the Circus Campus inside the former home of the St. Madeleine Sophie Church in West Mt. Airy with free parking. Entry will require a $20 donation to benefit the Circadium Students’ Foreign Exchange Fund. The show will take place this Friday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m.

Libertee Grounds

There are two reasons to head to Libertee Grounds for the love-filled holiday. First, on Thursday, Feb. 9, the venue will host Mini Golf Speed Dating for singles, where each dater will be handed a card where to check off which dates they enjoyed, and any mutual connections will be handed each others’ preferred contact information a few days after the event ends. 

Then, on Feb. 14, Libertee will feature a four-course Valentine’s Day tasting menu featuring Mural City Cellars. MCC founders will be on site to chat about the paired wines as well. Anyone interested in either event can reserve their spot on Resy.

Tipsy History: A Love Story

Guests will be transported back in time to hear about a unique love story between Betsy Ross and her husband John while at this event. Afterwards, couples will head into the Betsy Ross House for a special love-themed tour while enjoying a themed cocktail. Tickets ($25) are available online for a few specific slots that are still open for the 75 minute tour on both Friday, Feb 10 and Saturday, Feb. 11.

The Trestle Inn

This hotspot will be showcasing a few different themes for Valentine’s Day weekend in Philadelphia. On Friday, Feb. 10, Trestle will host the Shine a Little Love Valentine’s Happy Hour Dance Party featuring DJ Hardbargain and The Slinky Vagabond with specials running until 8 p.m. Then, the next night, Philadelphians can head to SATURNIA – The Valentine’s Edition which features music, go-go dancers and a $9 S&M Valentine’s Cocktail Special being poured all night long.

Pillow Talk: Pillowcase Printing Date Night

The Fabric Workshop and Museum is hosting a unique date night experience on Feb. 14. While at Pillow Talk, Philadelphians can learn how to screenprint using expressive monoprinting techniques with prepared imagery inspired by Betye Saar’s “Takin’ a Chance on Luv” to ultimately screenprint their own set of pillow cases. 

The event takes place this Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and will feature wine and light refreshments. Tickets ($50, $40 for members) are available on showclix.com
