Weather affects Shore fireworks displays

Inclement weather may affect highly anticipated fireworks shows planned for tonight.

Seaside Heights and Wildwoodhave rescheduled their fireworks displays as forecasters are calling for thunderstorms Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Seaside Heights announced in a Facebook post that its fireworks display has been rescheduled from 9:30p.m. Monday night to 9 p.m. “in an effort to beat the rain.”

Wildwood’s show, sponsored by the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority, originally scheduled for July Fourth, is now expected on Saturday, July 9 at 10 p.m., theGWTIDA announced.
