Welcome back, Brian Westbrook?
Andy Reid said he expects that his concussed running back will be cleared to play against Denver.
Westbrook, who hasn’t played since Nov. 15, has worked with the scout team in recent weeks. Reid said the team would keep a close eye on his progress.
“He’ll have fresh legs out there,” Reid said yesterday. “Obviously, he’s not going to play the whole game. [We will] make sure we keep track of how many plays he plays, if it comes down to that.”
Reid said Westbrook’s latest concussion test results will be released today. If doctors give him the green light, then Westbrook will likely return to full practice tomorrow.
“I think it’s good for everybody,” Reid said. “It’s good for him; it’s good for the team.”
