What to expect at this year’s Hair O’ The Dog extravaganza

This weekend, Philadelphians are truly in for a treat when Hair O’ The Dog kicks off on January 18 at one of the city’s most exclusive venues, Noto. The annual philanthropic extravaganza, which has been called “The best event in Philly,” will be a Gatsbyesque haven featuring a massive early 20th-century chandelier composed of thousands of crystal perfume bottles, Johnnie Walker’s signature concoctions plus plenty more grandiose surprises.

Party-goers are really in for a treat, performing at the event is world-touring DJ and music producer, Laidback Luke, who over the years has garnered a massive fan base and an impressive repertoire of notable crossover hits and remixes for well-known artists like Mariah Carey, Robin Thicke, Green Velvet, Moodymann and Daft Punk. Joining Laidback Luke are Los Angeles natives and real-life doubles Brigitte and Jaimee Navarrete, otherwise known as the Deux Twins. The event will also be inaugurated by Q102’s DJ N9NE who has performed with the likes of 50 Cent, Lil Jon, Fetty Wap, and last year’s Hair O’ The Dog performer, T-pain.

This 1920s extravaganza will also feature a top-shelf open bar and exclusive bottle service options featuring plenty of spirited choices from sponsors like Johnnie Walker, Don Julio, Ketel One and Peroni in addition to all of the high-energy performances.

“Together with Daniel Cronin and Robert Molinaro, the founders of Hair O’ The Dog, I couldn’t be more thrilled to join forces with the M·A·C Cosmetics VIVA GLAM Fund as it promotes and supports a diverse and inclusive culture,” said Buffy Harakidas, Director of Hair O’ The Dog in a release. “Besides the sophisticated design of this year’s venue, NOTO, emanates a vibe that is perfect for this most glamorous event. The sound and state-of-the-art lighting at NOTO complement the entertainment that we are flying in for this affair and will lend in creating the most memorable Hair O’ The Dog yet.”

Festivities for Hair O’ The Dog will kick off at 9 pm for Top Dog Bottle Service attendees and VIPs. Those premium packages will feature gourmet hors d’oeuvres by Chef Guillermo Velos, one complimentary 60-minute makeup session at M.A.C on Chestnut, a gourmet appetizer platter at the table and a sparkling bottle service presentation by the NOTO Knockouts. Those purchasing general admission tickets can enter at 11 pm and enjoy a 3-hour open bar and all of the main room performances.

According to the release, a portion of Hair O’ The Dog Proceeds will go to helping in M·A·C’s fight against AIDS/HIV that they’ve been battling for over 25 years. Also, M·A·C makeup artists will be in attendance at the event and will auction off a luxurious basket filled with glamorous M·A·C products as well.
