Woman finds brother’s body near UPenn’s campus

A woman discovered her brother’s body in a University City home this evening near the University of Pennsylvania’s campus.

The woman found the victim, 21, inside the living room of a private residence on the 3900 block of Market Street shortly before 4 p.m. when she stopped by to check on him. He suffered two gunshot wounds to the head and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Though he was near Penn’s campus, he was not a student, detectives said.

No arrests have yet been made and police did not recover a weapon.
