Woman robbed in Queen Village

Police were hunting for a suspect in a robbery in Queen Village.

Harrowing surveillance video released by cops shows the victim fleeing from the suspect on the 700 block of Passyunk Avenue.

The incident happened at approximately 3 a.m. on July 31 after the suspect began to chase the victim.

When the suspect caught the victim, he beat her and took her phone.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5-feet, 7-inches tall, with a light complexion and facial hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3251.
