A woman is in critical condition after an overnight shooting that left her fighting for her life.
The 37-year-old woman, whose name has not been released, was outside a home on the 300 block of E. Somerset Street after 8 p.m. on Monday when a gunman opened fire, NBC reported, adding that the victim was shot once in the head.

She was subsequently taken to Temple University Hospital where she remained in critical condition, CBS added in a related report.
No weapons have been recovered, and police continue to investigate, according to NBC.
