Woman shot in the head in Kensington

A woman is in extremely critical condition after she was shot in the head in Kensington this afternoon.

The woman, 25, was shot once in the forehead shortly after 4 p.m. at Ruth and Orleans streets, police said. She was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where she is listed in extremely critical condition.

The suspects are described as two Hispanic males with thin builds. They were last seen fleeing through a park at F Street and Indiana Avenue and then driving westbound on Indiana in a white coupe, possibly an Acura or a Honda.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
