Baby suffers first-degree burns in fire

JUNIATA PARK – Three families were displaced and a 10-month-old infant was hospitalized with first-degree burns after a fire yesterday morning on Elsinore Street in Juniata Park. The infant was taken to Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania and a pet was killed, but there were no other injuries were reported. Fire investigators hadn’t released what caused the fire as of 5 p.m.

A spokesman for the American Red Cross said they helped 15 people find alternative housing after the fire at a two-story townhouse.
