When a sign expressing an anti-police sentiment popped up in Bucks County Monday morning, officers didn’t let it go unnoticed.
The sign, which reads “Only good cop — is a dead cop,” was found near a manufacturing plant in Falls Township, Bucks County.
But one officer wasn’tgoing to let that stand.

Lt. Henry Ward posted a picture of the sign to the department’s Facebook page, calling out the artist to show their face.
“I would like to challenge the person or persons who made and hung the sign to stop into the Police Dept and speak to us,” Ward wrote.
“I know whoever did this did it out of ignorance. I would like to sit down with them and show them what we do as Police Officers so they can base their opinion on facts and not ignorance. I doubt they will do this because they hung the sign in the middle of the night like a true coward that I think they are.”

Ward pointed out that the sign was hung Monday, the 70th anniversary of D-Day.
“I want to stress this is America and anyone is well within their rights to hold such an opinion, but I find it ironic that whoever did this did it on the anniversary of D-Day when thousands of young Americans died to make sure an idiot or idiots like this can express their opinions.”
The Falls Township Police Department has not yet responded to a request for comment.
