Police are investigating after burned human remains were found on an empty lot in North Philadelphia.
Around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, firefighters arrived near the corner of 17thStreet and Allegheny Avenue after a report of a fire at a disused lot, 6ABC reported.

After crews extinguished the blaze, human remains were found at the location, CBS3 reported.
The investigation remained ongoing, according to CBS3, which added that no arrests have been made.
