This summer season, there is plenty of time to try all of the flavors of Montgomery County.

Crave Montco Month kicks off on July 1st and will last the whole month with special events. It aims to be a celebration that highlights the hundreds of eateries, breweries, and restaurants that make Montgomery County a go-to dining destination.

“Valley Forge and Montgomery County boast some of the best dining options in the region,” notes Mike Bowman, President & CEO, VFTCB in a statement.

“Crave Montco is our opportunity to shine a spotlight on the over 1,600 restaurants that call our region home, from favorite chain brands in King of Prussia to independent eateries and cafes in quaint towns like Ardmore, Skippack, and Pottstown. We invite guests to Crave Montco all month long and experience the incredible diversity of Montgomery County’s dining scene,” he added.

Standouts for Crave Monto month include The Gypsy Saloon in West Conshohocken, which boats a variety of comfort dishes including their signature Baby Lobster Mac N’ Cheese, with Maine lobster meat, asiago, parmesan and goat cheese. For something a little lighter, there’s also Aloha Smoothie Company in Ambler which will be featuring 10% off their Ambler Bowl made with organic açaí topped with granola, banana, strawberry, blueberry and your choice of a peanut butter or a local honey drizzle.

For breakfast lovers, Annamarie’s Place will be hosting patrons and offering up different dishes, plus complimentary Silver Dollar Cinnabun Pancakes, complete with a cream cheese glaze.

Then in Pottstown, residents and visitors can try iCreate Mediterranean Vegan Cafe, which will be featuring 20% off all shakes, wraps, and dips including their Humu-Ghannooj (a blended mix of hummus and baba ghannooj topped with parsley, and tomatoes).

For those looking to indulge in outdoor dining, Crave Montco Month will hold a few opportunities. Diners can find plenty of al fresco options at the King of Prussia Town Center, where patrons can try homemade pasta and perfectly seared steak while sipping a fine merlot under the stars at Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, or enjoy tacos with a side of fresh guacamole and a pitcher of sangria on the outdoor patio of Paladar Kitchen & Rum Bar.

In Ambler, outdoor dining is alive at Dettera Restaurant & Wine Bar and Gypsy Blue. The former offers up fine wines, handmade pasta, fresh seafood, roasted meats, and crisp seasonal salads, while the latter boasts pub fare and craft beer on the front patio and live music by their firepit. Gypsy Blue will also be offering free deviled eggs during Crave Montco Month.

And for spirited sippers, the month will also hold plenty of opportunities to try out Montco’s craft breweries, distilleries and wineries as well.

Standouts include Cyrenity Sips in Hatboro. This small-batch winery is offering 5% off bottles of their signature vinos (like the Cyan Cotton Candy Wine with edible glitter). In Norristown, Five Saints Distilling located inside the Historic Humane Engine #1 Fire House will be offering 10% off all cocktails, including the Speakeasy Gin & Tonic, featuring tonic water, anise star, cinnamon, nutmeg and orange bitters.

Another fan favorite is Workhorse Brewing Company in KOP, which will be offering five of its signature wings for $5 with flavors spanning  lemon pepper, Cajun, chipotle BBQ, mango habanero, and more.

The public is invited to download the Montco Makers Passport — a free mobile pass that guides patrons to the best breweries, distilleries, and craft beverage producers in Valley Forge and Montgomery County. Passport users can check in during their visit for a chance to win prizes as well.

And to end everything on a sweet note, Crave Montco Month will also be offering some deals on desserts.
