Departed Philly radio personality Josh Innes gets new gig in Houston

Josh Innes will always be linked to Philadelphia after the radio personality took the area by storm with his evening and later afternoon program (briefly co-hosted with Tony Bruno)on storied station 94 WIP.

But amid allegations that he was a bit unconventional as a sports radio host —and perhaps after he offended listeners with borderline racist remarks —Inneswas fired a few weeks ago.

During his time off he hosted a show on his facebook page, “Live from Josh’s couch,” but the native Midwesterner packed up and moved South where he will be on the airwaves once again, this time on an AM station in Houston — SportsTalk 790.

Innes, a frequent tweeter, confirmed rumors earlier Monday, saying he was starting next Monday at 3 p.m.

He also retweetedexcited tweets from fans in Houston that Innes was returning. Previous to his work in Philadelphia, the radio host worked at 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, and before that at 610 KILT in Houston.
