Double shooting kills one in Francisville

Police are investigating a double shooting that killed a man in the Francisville section of North Philadelphia early this morning.

Authorities were called to a residence on the 1700 block of Wylie Street at 12:22 a.m. One man, approximately 25, was shot multiple times and a second, 21, had a gunshot wound to the wrist, police said.

The first man died at Hahnemann University Hospital at 12:53 a.m., while the second is in stable condition at Temple University Hospital.

There is no word yet on a suspect or motive.
