Double shooting leads to car accident in front of Frankford hospital
The shooting took place Tuesday evening around 11:30 p.m. in Frankford at the intersection of Darrah and Wakeling streets.
Following a trail of blood, officers arrived at Aria Frankford Hospital where they found the two victims.
“The 24-year-old woman was shot in the leg and then ran two blocks to the hospital,” CBS Philadelphia reports. “The 31-year-old man was shot in the face and the back. He was being taken to the hospital in an SUV when the driver crashed into a pole in front of the hospital’s main entrance.”
The woman is in stable condition while the man is in critical condition.
Police reportedly found “money and pills” in the crashed car and believe drugs may have played a role in the shooting.
