The crash took place at 11:30 p.m. Monday when Quason Turner, a Pennsauken High School student, was struck and killed near the intersection of Route 130 and Browning Road, 6ABC reported.

Hyland’s niece, the owner of the car, reportedly called 911 to alert police of the accident, which allowed authorities to locate the car before using GPS to find Hyland, who unsuccessfully tried to escape on foot from the police, NBC10 added. Her niece has not been charged in connection to the crash.
