Eagles go on the offensive

Everything’s bigger in Texas, including the bulletin board in the Cowboys locker room these days. Thank DeSean Jackson and a certain Eagles employee for that.

One week after being throttled 24-0 in Dallas, the Eagles went on the viral offensive. First, Jackson tweeted that the Eagles would “sting” the Cowboys. Shortly after, the second-year receiver posted a UStream video saying that the Dallas defense was “scared” and couldn’t cover him one on one.

When told the Cowboys might use his words as a motivational tool, Jackson simply shrugged.

“That’s cool. Use it to your motivation,” Jackson said. “At the end of the day, we still have a job to go out there and win the game.”

Some teammates didn’t necessarily agree with the trash talking, but still defended Jackson.

“That’s my brother, ride or die with him,” fullback Leonard Weaver said. “You don’t mind backing a guy like him up. I don’t think too many guys can do too many things against him one on one.”

If only the controversy ended there. On Wednesday, a video surfaced of Eagles Web site director Dave Spadaro spitting twice on the iconic Cowboys star logo at the new Texas Stadium. (For the record, a team spokesman said Spadaro won’t be punished).

While many in Dallas were left seething, few inside the Eagles locker room seemed to care.

“I don’t know how they feel about it, and I really don’t care,” Weaver said. “I just know what we got to do, and that’s win a football game.”
