Time is ticking for Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren, as the NHL trade deadline is just one week away.

“I like our team,” Holmgren said. “I like the way we were playing when the Olympic break started. I think right now if there’s something we can do that will help our team down the stretch we will probably look at doing it, as long as it doesnt effect what we have stockpiled.”

However, don’t expect any game-changing moves.

“I don’t forsee anything major,” he said.

TV ratings decline for Flyers

In a report from the Sports Business Journal, Flyers games on Comcast SportsNet are being viewed by an average of 59,000 households each game.

This is down substantially from the over 100,000 households taking in Flyers games this time last season.

The Blackhawks (159,000), Bruins (123,000) and Rangers (93,000) are the top three local squads when it comes to local television eyes.

Columbus averages only 6,000 households per game, worst in the league.
