For sheriff, and getting rid of it

John Kromer, who will launch his outsider campaign for Philadelphia sheriff on an abolish-the-office platform Wednesday, offered a cynical reaction to news that four ranking staffers were removed from their positions and several contractors were fired.

“Make no mistake: What you’re seeing now is not happening because everyone just learned about the problems at the Sheriff’s Office. It’s happening because these problems have been exposed,” Kromer said.
