Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran’s beloved dessert in frozen, summer-perfect form is back. Frozen Budino Pops return this Friday, July 11, to the Marcie Blaine Artisanal Chocolate counter in Verde (108 S. 13th St.). They’ll be available every Friday this summer, from 11 a.m. until they’re sold out — which we know from experience will happen quickly.
The pops are a twist on Turney’s budino, a salted caramel pudding served at the duo’s Barbuzzo. In the frozen version, a core of salted caramel and dark chocolate cookie crumbs is wrapped with frozen caramel pudding, then dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkled with sea salt. Go get in line.
