Fun things to do in Philly this weekend

Looking for some fun and unique things to do in Philly this weekend? We’ve got you covered.

 Cobbin’ at The Creek

Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company is releasing their Better Maize Ahead American Cream Ale, and to celebrate, they’re also throwing a party that fits the flavor. On Sunday, July 31, from noon to 7 p.m., Philadelphians can head to this free event at the Croydon venue to indulge in corn cocktails from New Liberty Distillery, check out live music from The Back Porch Jugband, and participate in corn-themed activities like corn hole and a corn shucking competition. The Cream Ale specifically is brewed with flaked maize and gently hopped with Hallertau while being described as having a subtle, sweet cereal character reminiscent of corn pops, and it comes out to be 4.9% ABV. A corn-themed menu from The Clean Plate Club food truck will also be available at the festival featuring corn fritters with maple sriracha, street corn, beer braised bratwurst with corn relish, pulled pork tostada with corn salsa on a crispy corn tortilla, and a sweet corn strawberry shortcake.
