Gal pals unite. The 1st annual Galentine’s Wine Tasting Celebration will take over PJ Clarke’s at The Curtis (601 Walnut St.) on Feb. 13.
Wine Garden and Kabila Events have teamed up for the very spirited and very pink occasion, which features complimentary wine samples, themed cocktails, light bites, live entertainment, custom poems, curated photography, and more.
“Wine Garden and Kabila Events are both known for our finely curated immersive wine experiences that celebrate our region’s wine community. We wanted to team up for a new exclusive event that brings the best of both organizations together for an unforgettable night for female wine lovers and foodies,” said Wine Garden’s Favian Sutton. Sutton, along with her mother Nazaret Teclesambet will help oversee the pop-up with Kabila’s Sonia Blount.

“We are popping up at PJ Clarke’s in their gorgeous private space – with pink and pretty yet upscale vibes. Come out for a night just for the girls as we enjoy selections from our favorite wineries, while we vibe to live music, photo stations, vintage decor, fresh flowers and delicious bites. This is the first year for what we hope will become an annual tradition. We have two sessions and we are limiting the number of tickets to keep the experience special and intimate.”
As Sutton mentioned, the evening will be divided into two time slots: 5 to 7 p.m. and 8 to 10 p.m., with tickets available now starting at $45.
Six wineries will be offering up samples of their sips (including V Cellars, Strangefruit Wines, Aurora’s Vines, Cyrenity Sips and others), plus PJ Clarke’s Culinary Director Taylor Weldon will offer a special extended happy hour menu for the event that includes special dishes and prices. Highlighted bites include Mexican street corn ribs, lobster rolls, bacon stuffed dates with bleu cheese, mini gourmet burgers, and more.
Additionally, guests can find special Galentine’s cocktails (pay-as-you-go) like the “Flirtini” (Tito’s handmade vodka, Chambord raspberry liquor and pineapple juice) the “Sweetheart Spritz” (Aperol, Prosecco and Touch Of Red grapefruit juice), the “French Kiss” (gin, lemon juice, simple syrup and champagne) and more.
