Homeless man found dead after shooting

A homeless man was reportedly discovered dead in Coatesville Friday morning after police received a call of shots fired in the area.

Officers found the man just after 6 a.m. near the 600 block of Diamond Street, where the victim was found in the backyard of a residence, Coatesville Police told Philly.com.

The victim, whose name was not immediately released pending the notification of his family, was reportedly a homeless man from Pottstown.

Anyone with information about the circumstances of the death are asked to call police.
