The Pennsylvania SPCA (PSPCA) is celebrating National Dog Day through offering specials on adoptions. From 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, you can receive $50 off your adoption at their 350 East Erie Avenue location. What’s more, select dogs will be available to adopt for only $1. Made possible through the support of the Petco Foundation, which provided a $5000 grant to the PSPCA, you can save a life at a discount and get a new best friend in the process. Here are five adorable doggies available for adoption today.
Spencer is a 7-year-old Labrador Retriever Mix. He came to the PSPCA as a victim of cruelty. He is very friendly and gets along with other pets. Just look at that smile!
Spot is a 6-year-old Pitbull mix. She is a super sweet doggie and was sent to the PSPCA for being too nice.
Anthony is a 5-year-old Pitbull mix. He is a friendly dog but can be afraid of strangers, needing time to adjust to new people.
Jerry is a 2-year-old Terrier mix. Incredibly friendly and social, he was pulled from a partner shelter.
Creed is a 1-year-old adorable bull mix who was hit by a car in front of the shelter in 2015. She is now a tripod pup but you’d never know it with her playful energy and love for running. Creed loves every human she encounters.
