Inside Look: 3 more million-dollar listings in Philadelphia

It’s time to revisit the most expensive properties for sale in Philadelphia. Prices are surging in the city, and the market is bouncing backafter the 2007 housing bubble burst and years of decline. In nearby cities – Boston, New York, D.C. – a one- or two-million-dollar home is nothing to shake a stick at. But in Philly, where the average home price is around $213,000, seven figures can take you far.

In September, Metro took a look at four properties in the city that crossed that million-dollar mark. Now, we’re looking at the top inventory once again, and prices aren’t going down.

237 S. 18th St.

At a whopping $7.2 million, this home in the Barclay Condominium overlooking Rittenhouse Square is, as far as our research goes, the most expensive single-family-home listing in Philadelphia this year. The bespoke home offers spectacular entertaining space, with its dramatic central foyer, large kitchen and several sitting rooms.

Size: 3 beds, 7 baths, 5,025 square feet

Sweet perks: A chauffer-driven Mercedes S550, private fitness center, secret password-protected entrance to a private office space, wine fridge and in-wall touch screens.

1601 Locust St.

Take the private elevator up to your penthouse suite in The Lanesborough on Locust Street, and step into a massive, glamorous space. With four terraces offering sweeping, 360-degree views of the city, look down on the street’s twinkling lights every night. For a cool $7 million, reside in this luxurious oasis.

Size: 3 beds, 3 baths, 3,991 square feet and 1,804 square feet of outdoor space

Sweet perks: Top-of-the-line kitchen appliances from Gaggenau, two parking spaces, a brick-backsplashbar and custom LePage windows and doors.

1910 Rittenhouse Square

This rare piece of real estate is one of only two residential townhomes on the Square, and is currently listed for $6.95 million. Opulently decorated and designed, this home still offers high-end modern amenities, marble-encased bathrooms and unmatched proximity to all the neighborhood has to offer.

Size: 5 beds, 6 baths, 5,374 square feet

Sweet perks:Two-car parking, a ceiling mural painted by a European church painter, and a master bedroom encompassing the entire fourth floor with curved walls.
