Iron Hill Brewery now offers grocery bundles and meal kits

All of Iron Hill Brewery’s locations, like most food establishments, have switched to just take-out and delivery service, but this local favorite has also amped up their offerings in a unique way to help serve citizens during this time.

According to a release, in accordance with local and federal mandates, Iron Hill has modified its business model and added items to their already existing list of freshly prepared menu items and craft beer offerings to include grocery bundles and craft meal kits. The new craft meal kits and grocery bundles will be available not only in the Philadelphia area, but also at Iron Hill’s 16 locations in Delaware, New Jersey and South Carolina as well. Prices range from $10-$28 for the kits and $15-$18 for the bundles.

With the new kits, consumers will be able to have everything they need to prepare a DIY steak dinner, pizza for 4, plus burger and chicken sandwich meals—making dinner-time delicious and providing an opportunity to spice up everyone’s time while self-isolating.

The grocery bundles also offer a way to stock up on essentials in an uncomplicated way, which is extremely beneficial for those who would rather not head to the grocery store during the pandemic. According to the release, the bundles include 30 eggs, 2 lbs. of butter, 1 gallon of whole milk, and an assortment of fresh fruit and vegetables. The groceries are also available a la carte for those who may not need larger quantities. A la carte items include toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, and an assortment of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy products. Craft Market grocery bundles must be ordered 24 hours in advance and they are available daily for curbside pickup and takeout. Locations are currently operating 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, with the Center City location open only Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

“There’s no denying this situation has affected everyone,” said Iron Hill CEO Kim Boerema in the release. “We created a way to be able to help support our guests, our employees and now, even our suppliers as they are also feeling the devastating financial effects this unfortunate situation put us all in. These offerings allow us to keep people employed, help our guests who are unable to or may not be comfortable with going to the grocery store to get the essentials, and the people who regularly deliver our restaurants food so we could create great dining experiences. We’re all still trying to do this — just in a very unique and different way. So many in our industry are struggling and it’s important now more than ever to support the community as a whole.”

To add to the already tasty deal, Iron Hill is also offering growlers of signature and seasonal beers ($13-$19) as well as seasonal canned beer 4-packs ($17.25 – $18.25), for takeout from 4-8 p.m. Monday to Friday and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Iron Hill will also sometimes be offering half-priced growlers and $5 off 4-pack cans.

Guests can still order any of Iron Hill’s tasty menu items through pick-up and delivery, and the popular establishment also hopes to expand their new kits and bundles through delivery in the near future.
