A 30-year-old man has been arrested for a string of robberies in the Cedarbrook section of Philadelphia.
Antoine Johnson, of the 1500 block of Mount Airy, is charged with robbery and related offenses. Police said that between May 16 and June 18, Johnson entered several businesses armed with a handgun demanding money. He is also accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint in the area of Mount Pleasant Avenue and Williams Street.
Police arrested Johnson on Wednesday after an officer in the 14th District identified him.
Johnson has a lengthy arrest record which includes numerous guilty pleas for theft, forgery, passing bad checks and possession of a controlled substance. He is in jail on $150,000 bail and his next court date is scheduled for July 10.
