Man ID’d in fatal West Philadelphia shooting

Police are investigating a fatal shooting in West Philadelphia last night.

Officers were called to the 6300 block of Callowhill Street around 8:50 p.m. There, they found Stephan Hamilton, 21, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the right arm and armpit, police said.

Hamilton was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he died at 9:10 p.m.

Police are reportedly looking for two men who fled the scene in a Ford Taurus. No arrests have yet been made and a motive has not been released.

Hamilton had six prior arrests for narcotics, burglary, auto theft and aggravated assault, police said.
