Molotov cocktail thrown into South Philly home

Police are investigating an incident in which a Molotov cocktail was thrown into a South Philly home early Tuesday morning, ABC Philly reported.

The suspected Molotov cocktail was reportedly thrown around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday on the 2200 block of Beechwood Street.

NBC Philly, which referred to the explosive as a firebomb, reported that it bounced off the home and exploded into flames on the sidewalk.

The flames were reportedly under control by the time officials arrived, and no one was hurt.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
