Authorities have charged a Montgomery County man with using his computer to surreptitiously share and receive child pornography online.
Robert Greene, 61, of North Wales, was found to have more 500 images and videos of child pornography on his computer, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele announced Friday. Greene was arrested Monday.
Following a two-month investigation, Abington Township Police discovered Greene’s computer had been configured to prevent anyone from detecting or tracking files he sent, the prosecutor’s office said. The videos were sent using Shareaza, a peer-to-peer file sharing program, according to the complaint.
Police raided his home in September, and Greene acknowledged having downloaded and shared the files. He agreed to allow a search of his computer, according to the criminal complaint.
