One man was killed and another critically injured in a double shooting in the Point Breeze section of South Philadelphia late Thursday.
The fatal gunfire erupted on the 1500 block of South Ringgold Street just before 11 p.m., police said.
The 35-year-old man killed in the gunfire was shot in his abdomen and buttocks. He was pronounced dead at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania at 11:06 p.m., police said.
Police were not identifying the homicide victim as of about 9 a.m. Friday.
A 22-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot in his back and buttocks, police said. He is being treated at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Police did not have a motive for the double shooting and did not release any suspect information.
