This Saturday, Oct. 21, celebrated Philadelphia seafood and raw bar spot, Oyster House, will be doing a special all-day menu of local oysters.
There will be six varieties shucked throughout the day, all coming from local bodies of water and chosen personally by owner, Sam Mink.
Oysters will be coming from 40 North (Barnegat Bay, NJ), Sweet Amalia (Cape May, NJ), Betsy’s Cape Shore Salts (Cape May, NJ) and Elder Point (Port Norris, NJ).
Aside from the oysters, there’s also an eyebrow-raising collaboration happening between Oyster House and Franklin Fountain — an oyster-flavored ice cream made with 100 local oysters.
This truly unique flavor will be served in an oyster shell and will be complimentary to any guest who orders a dozen local oysters.
Is it any good? You’ll have to head over on Saturday to find out.
Oyster House is located at 1516 Sansom St.
