An investigation into the slashing and robbery of a cab driver in Queens Village is underway this morning, ABC Philly reported.
The incident happened around midnight Wednesday near the intersection of 4th and Catharine streets. Cab driver Jaswant Mann picked up a fare who then threatened the driver with a knife.
“He said, ‘I can shoot you with a gun, give me money,'” Mann told ABC Philly.
After the man pulled a knife on Mann, there was a struggle which left his hand slashed. The robber absconded with $70.
Mann took himself to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital to have his wound treated, where investigators met him and searched his car for evidence.
