This past Friday, Kiehl’s ended its seventh annual LifeRide at the Shops of Liberty Place. Over the course of 10 days, celebrity motorcyclists raised awareness and funds for AIDS research. President of Kiehl’sChris Salgardo was present along with models, bloggers, sports figures and actors, including Gilles Marini of “Sex and the City” and English rugby player Ben Cohen. The Kiehl’s staff even pampered customers with free face and hand massages.
The event culminated with Salgardo presenting Kevin Robert Frost, CEO of the Foundation for AIDS Research (amFAR), with a check for $150,000, which was raised during the multistate motorcycle journey. Salgardo also presented Angela Kapalko of Philadelphia Fight, a Philly-based AIDS service organization providing primary care, advocacy and research, with a $5,000 check.
