PHOTOS: Face-painted woman robs Delaware bank

Delaware State Police are looking for a face-painted woman who they say robbed a Citizens Bank in Wilmington yesterday afternoon.

The suspect allegedly presented a note demanding money to a teller at the bank branch, located inside an Acme supermarket, shortly before 4 p.m. The note implied that she had a weapon, but she did not display one before making away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The woman was last seen fleeing on foot toward Linden Hill Road.

Police describe the suspect as a 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-3 white woman, aged 24 to 30, with pink and purple paint on her face. She was wearing a dark jacket and a black baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Delaware State Police Robbery Unit at 302-834-2630 ext. 6, or to provide a tip at 1-800-TIP-3333 or by texting the keyword “DSP” plus a message to CRIMES (274637).
