To celebrate National S’Mores Day this past Wednesday, the Girl Scouts of the Eastern Seaboard S’mores Competition was held at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort in Cambridge, Maryland. Girl Scouts from Eastern Pennsylvania, Chesapeake Bay, Central Maryland and D.C. participated.
The event began with a s’mores making contest thousands of graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate bars were used in a race to create the most of the sweet campfire treat. The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania won the competition in addition to the next challenge, which was “Challenge of the Choptank.”
At the end of the day, everyone was a winner however, as the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay donated $1000 to each participating Girl Scouts Council.
