On Tuesday, Nov. 15, The Marian Anderson Awards Gala was held at the Kimmel Center. Named in honor of Philly’s own Marian Anderson, one of the most revered singers of the twentieth century, the award recognizes those who have made a positive impact on society. This year, Kenny Gamble, Leon Huff and Patti LaBelle were honored.
