The charges stem from a shooting on Jan. 3 on West Wishart Street that left two people dead and a 17-year-old in critical condition with a gunshot wound in his face, according to police. The two deceased victims, Richard DaVilla, 47, and Raul Rodriguez, 21, were both found shot in the street, and they later died at Temple Hospital.

Suspect Ativa Jackson, 19, was taken into custody by police on Thursday, March 10, and was charged with two counts of murder, conspiracy and related weapons offenses, police stated.
