Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who robbed a Southwest Philadelphia store Friday afternoon:
A man walked into Zam Zam Market at 7333 Elmwood Avenue at 3:55 p.m. armed with a revolver and made off with about $100 in cash.
The suspect ran out to a green 1995 Jeep Cherokee, driven by a second man, that was waiting outside. The Zam Zam employee followed the suspects to 2nd Street in Darby, where they parked the Jeep and fled on foot.
The first man is described as a 5’6″, 180-lb bald black man between the ages of 30 and 40. He was wearing black pants, a striped green polo shirt and dark sunglasses. The getaway driver is a 30-to-40-year-old black man with an Afro and full beard.
Police are asking those with information to call Det. J. Marano of the Southwest Detectives Division at 215-686-3183 or 215-686-3184, or to leave an anonymous tip at phillypolice.com.
