Poynter names Metro Philadelphia cover ‘Front Page of the Day’

The Metro Philadelphia edition of Tuesday’s paper was named by Poynter Institute as the “Front Page of the Day.”

The photo, shot by freelance photographer Charles Mostoller, was taken as SWAT teams stormed the Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, home of Bradley Stone.

Stone allegedly shot and killed his ex-wife and five of her family members.

On Tuesday officials announced Stone’s body was found in a wooded area not far from where this photo was taken.

The Poynter Institute is a non-profit journalism school based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The school owns the Tampa Bay Times.
