Dine Latino Restaurant Week celebrates flavor and community

Posted

There’s still time to dig into Philly’s Latino food scene during Dine Latino Restaurant Week, which continues through Saturday, Oct. 10.

The annual celebration brings together more than 30 Latino-owned and operated restaurants across the region, offering diners a chance to try something new while supporting local businesses.

Coordinated by the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the twice-a-year promotion showcases the wide range of flavors and culinary traditions found throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. The fall edition also coincides with Hispanic Heritage Month.

So how does it work? Diners who order two dinner entrées at participating restaurants can enjoy a complimentary appetizer or dessert, along with special limited-time menus created for the week.

The lineup includes restaurants serving everything from Mexican and Colombian favorites to Peruvian and Caribbean fare.

Among the participating restaurants are Casa Mexico in the Italian Market, Tierra Colombiana in North Philly, Mamajuana in Northern Liberties and Don Hector in Bucks County.

For the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the week is about more than a good meal. The organization describes Dine Latino as a way to showcase the flavors and traditions of Latino-owned restaurants while helping businesses attract new customers and raise their profiles in the community.

“Dine Latino Restaurant Week is more than just a dining event; it’s a celebration of culture, entrepreneurship, and community,” said Jennifer Rodriguez, President & CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “Our Latino-owned restaurants and food trucks are vital to the region’s culinary fabric. By supporting them, we uplift the diversity, creativity, and innovation that make Philadelphia such an extraordinary place to dine.”

Check the official Dine Latino website for a full list of participating restaurants.
