The Great Spongebob Squarepants Pajamas Armed Robbery

It’s not everyday that you see a man in McDonald’s work shirt Spongebob Squarepants pajama-pants wielding a high-powered assault rifle robbing a dollar store. Sunday was one of those rare days, or at least it was in Houston, but thanks to the power of the internet, everybody can see it.

Two men entered the store as an employee was hanging kids’ clothes. They said the suspects approached her with a gun and asked her to call her manager to the front. When both women were up front, the suspects asked them to empty out the cash from the register and safe, and hand it over in a black Family Dollar Store bag, according to deputies.

Nearly $800 was stolen.
