A proposed $25 fine for motorists leaving their cars unlocked in Upper Moreland Township is no more. Police Chief Thomas Nestel withdrew the proposal on Thursday, three days after introducing the controversial fine aimed at reducing the number of burglaries.
“Folks in the community have been calling for the last three days,” said Nestel. “Although there was support, there wasn’t overwhelming support.”
