Two Philly men arrested for hauling 900 pounds of weed

Two men from Philadelphia are facing charges after they were caught transporting more than 900 pounds of marijuana Monday.

Maryland State Police troopers pulled over a U-Haul vanfor a traffic violation on the Interstate 95 exit ramp to Route 279 around 8 p.m., the Associated Pressreported. A drug detection dog alerted officers to the presence of drugs, and a search turned up 938 pounds of marijuana in the van’s cargo deck.

Driver and passengerBaojieChen and Da Fen Xiong, both 23 and from Philadelphia,have been charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of more than 50 pounds of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute.
