Two vehicles struck and killed an unidentified man Monday night as he ran, waving his arms in the air and singing, near the corner of Roosevelt Boulevard and Harbison Avenue.

A Chevy Tahoe initially struck the man, catapulting him into the inner lanes of the boulevard here he was struck by a Volkswagen and possibly by two other vehicles as well, NBC reported.

“He was running south on the Boulevard waving his hands in the air and he was singing loudly,” Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said to NBC. “He was only wearing underwear, which is very bizarre for the winter – or anytime.”

The unidentified man was taken to Aria Health-Torresdale Campus, where he was pronounced dead, police said in a related Philly.com article.
